In her portraits, Vivian attempts to seize the essence of a person, coming in close to capture an intimate moment. She rarely asks a person to pose for her. Instead, she casually takes photographs during relaxed conversation. This enables you to feel more at ease and lends a natural feel to the resulting photographs.

Your portrait session will be held either in your home or in another location of your preference. Depending on lighting conditions, Vivian may prefer one location over another - however, this can be discussed prior to the session.

You can enhance your photographs by wearing clothing that reflects different aspects of who you are. If you would like to be photographed with instruments, tools of your trade, or other props please advise Vivian of this preference.

For artists who require a specific format for prints (i.e. 8x10 head shots), this can be arranged during the initial consultation.
